EasyCare Intro ImageDear EasyCare Customer,

Spring is finally here and we've had a busy few months at EasyCare: Duncan McLaughlin payed us a visit from Australia: he's working with us on a thermographic imaging project. We continue to focus on research and development by testing new gluing methods for the Easyboot Glue Ons . We will have some members of the EasyCare team at various events across the country this year: now you can get to meet our team face to face and see a boot application process or learn more about a particular boot.

The Easyboot Facebook Page continues to generate some great discussions on natural hoof care, hoof boot fit and invaluable feedback from our valued customers. If you're not already a fan, click now on 'Become a Fan' so you qualify for some upcoming promotions exclusive to Easyboot Facebook fans.

Do you boot? If so, we'd like to hear from you: click here to send us your story with a photo and we will publish it to the EasyCare Blog . Contributors are growing in number and there are at least two new posts a day by a variety of riders and practitioners.

Seeing Things in a Different Light

EasyCare Article Image

Thanks to EasyCare, I recently had the opportunity to attend a four-day equine-thermography course with Donna Harper DVM. Dr Harper is one of the pioneers of equine thermography and has a wealth of knowledge to share, which she does so generously. Thermography uses an infra-red scanning camera to translate skin surface temperature into color screen-images.

Did You Know?

EasyCare Article Image

Did you know that the current Easyboot Glove has a thicker toe than when it was first released?  That's right: the original boot was very flexible throughout but we found the toe area needed to be a little stronger to withstand the tough terrain that the majority of riders go through.  R & D immediately decided to produce the Easyboot Glove with a thicker toe.  The thicker toe makes the ever popular hoof boot stronger and rounder in the toe area, yet flexible enough to maintain a snug fit.  The result is a more resilient hoof boot.  Limited quantities of the original Easyboot Glove with the thinner toe are available for purchase at a discounted price in the Bargain Bin area of our website under the Cool Stuff tab.

Dealer of the Month: Sally Hugg

Alt

Hoof Care Practitioner, Sally Hugg of Oroville California has been selected as EasyCare’s April Dealer of the Month. A quest to help her own horses who were having problems with shoes is what led Sally to a career in the hoof care business. She was originally a registered dental assistant. She began trimming just to help her own horses. Attending a Pete Ramey clinic in early 2006 inspired her to learn as much as she could. It was then that she started working her way through the training program offered by AANHCP. Her business has steadily grown since she began in 2006. She now has 100 horses in her practice.

The Answer to Wide Feet

Alt

Does your horse have feet that are wider than they are long? No worries! Although the Easyboot Glove and Easyboot Glue-Ons shells are made for a hoof that is slightly longer than wide, both shells fit a hoof that is wide (slightly wider than long). The shells have a great deal of stretch and accommodate a wide foot very well. A wide foot makes for a very secure and snug fit.
